Our Story

Travel is part of life.
We think it should be
designed that way.

Houston, Texas

Where our story begins.

Itinera is a Wyoming-based travel company shaped by the perspective of our founder and CEO, Della Marie. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Della brought together her experience in travel, technology, and business to imagine a different kind of travel company.

What if the challenges we face as travelers aren’t as separate from the challenges we face in everyday life as we think?

Wanting to see the world and feeling ready to do it aren’t always the same thing. Planning, unfamiliar places, changing circumstances, traveling alone or caring for family can make a Journey feel more complicated than the destination itself.

Itinera was created to account for more of that human experience—not just where you’re going, but what it takes to feel ready to go.

Why We Exist

Travel changed.
Planning it didn't.

A traveler stands in a glowing city square at night, surrounded by oversized digital billboards advertising flights, hotels, and destinations, illustrating how travel options have multiplied yet planning remains overwhelming

Nowadays, we have access to more ways to travel than ever before.

More destinations are within reach. There are more places to stay, more ways to get there, and more information to help us decide where to go and what to do when we arrive.

But having more options hasn't necessarily made traveling easier—or made travelers feel more secure while navigating the world.

Planning a trip can mean sorting through hundreds of flights and accommodations, jumping between websites, saving recommendations across different apps, keeping track of confirmations, and trying to piece everything together yourself. And once the Journey begins, travelers are often left to navigate disruptions, unfamiliar places, and unexpected situations on their own.

We believe travel should have evolved beyond that by now.

That's why we created Itinera—to bring the pieces of the Journey together, reduce the work that surrounds travel, and build toward an experience where travelers can explore the world with greater ease, confidence, and support.

More ways to travel than ever.

IT SHOULD BE EASIER AND SAFER
THAN EVER, TOO.

What That Means to Us

01

Easier.

Travel has become increasingly fragmented. We believe the work surrounding a Journey should fade into the background—fewer things to manage, fewer places to search, and more freedom to simply experience where you've gone.

Less to manage.More room to experience.

02

Safer.

Seeing the world often means navigating places, systems, and situations that are unfamiliar. We believe travelers should have greater access to the information, guidance, and support that help them move through the world with confidence.

Far from homeshouldn't meanfar from support.

03

Worth More.

Because making travel better isn't only about removing friction. A Journey should give something back—the experiences you had, the places you discovered, the people you encountered, and the memories that remain after you've returned home.

More than a trip.Something you keep.

The Journey So Far

It started with travel. Then we saw what travel was missing.

Itinera wasn't created overnight. Our understanding of what travelers needed came from years spent inside the business of travel—and from recognizing the problems the industry was leaving behind.

2023

The Beginning

Itinera is established.

Itinera was established in 2023 with an interest in the business and possibilities surrounding travel. What began as a company entering the industry would eventually become something much more ambitious.

2024

Entering the Industry

We became a travel agency investment company.

In 2024, Itinera moved deeper into the travel industry as a travel agency investment company, giving us a closer view of how the business of travel worked from the inside.

As travel accelerated following the pandemic, so did the number of businesses entering the industry.

2025

We Saw the Gap

The industry was growing. The problems weren't being solved.

The return of travel brought opportunity, investment, and a new wave of travel businesses. But the more we watched the industry grow, the clearer something became: much of the innovation was focused on selling more travel—not solving the everyday problems travelers still faced.

Planning remained fragmented. Support could disappear after booking. Travelers were still responsible for piecing together information across different platforms and navigating unfamiliar situations largely on their own.

December 2025 · The Turning Point

We decided to buildsomething different.

We decided to combine our experience in the travel business with our CEO’s background in computer science and technology to rethink what Itinera could become.

Instead of building another travel agency, we began building around the problems themselves—asking how technology, industry knowledge, and human support could work together to make traveling easier, safer, and ultimately more valuable to the person actually taking the Journey.

2026

The Next Chapter

Itinera prepares to launch.

In 2026, that vision becomes Itinera as it exists today: a connected travel company built around the Journey, not simply the transaction.

We’re ready to introducewhat we hope will redefine how travel is done.

Our Mission

To make travelingeasier than ever, safer than ever, and worth more than ever.

We’re building toward a future where the complexity surrounding travel fades into the background—where travelers can move through the world with greater confidence, greater support, and more freedom to actually experience where they’ve gone.

For us, progress isn’t measuredby how much more we can add to travel. It’s measured by how much ofthe burden we can take away.

Traveler Stories

The reason behind every Journey.

Everything we’ve built begins and ends with the traveler. Different destinations. Different reasons for going. Different ways of experiencing the world. But every Journey reminds us why making travel easier, safer, and worth more matters.
